Dachshund Royalty’s Health Guarantee

Our Promise to You
Dachshund Royalty is committed to the health and well-being of our furry friends. That’s why all our dachshund puppies come with a health guarantee to give you peace of mind. We want you to feel confident and happy with your new family member!

 Health Guarantee Coverage

When you purchase a puppy from us, you’ll receive a 30-day health guarantee, which is the standard across the industry. This guarantee ensures that your puppy is protected, and we encourage you to take your new furry friend to a licensed veterinarian within ten days of bringing them home for a full check-up.
If, within this timeframe, your veterinarian identifies any life-threatening hereditary congenital defects or major health problems, don’t worry! We’ve got you covered. Simply notify us within 24 hours of the exam, and we will provide a replacement puppy of equal value.

What’s Covered and What’s Not

While we take pride in the health of our puppies, it’s important to note that some minor issues are common in dogs and puppies and are therefore not covered by our health guarantee. These include uneven bites, undescended testicles, grade 1 and 2 heart murmurs, fleas, mites, ringworm, kennel cough, hernias, Coccidia, giardia, and other intestinal worms or parasites.
Additionally, highly contagious diseases like Parvo, Distemper, and Corona Virus are not covered after 48 hours of the sale, as these can be contracted immediately after leaving our kennel.

 Congenital Defect Guarantee

We also provide a one-year guarantee from the date of birth against life-threatening congenital defects. If, within this period, a licensed veterinarian identifies any such defects (excluding parvovirus, distemper virus, heartworms, or nutrition-related diseases), we will replace your puppy with another of the same quality and price, subject to availability.
In the unfortunate event of your puppy’s death in the first year due to a congenital defect, we will require a statement from your veterinarian to confirm the cause before taking any necessary action.

Additional Information:

All our puppies are sold on limited registration, and we require that pet puppies be spayed or neutered before they reach 9 months of age. Show and breeding prospect puppies are sold on full/open registration.
Your puppy has already started their vaccination and de-worming schedule and is up-to-date on all their shots. We will provide you with these records, and it’s important to continue this schedule with your veterinarian to ensure your puppy stays happy and healthy!
Finally, in the unlikely event of any legal disputes, the original purchaser agrees to bear any court costs and attorney’s fees for both parties, and any proceedings shall be held in our state and county.
We hope this health guarantee provides you with the reassurance you need to welcome one of our dachshund puppies into your home!

By upholding these principles, we aim to preserve the dachshund as a healthy, well-adjusted, and truly remarkable breed for generations to come.

Our journey

Our goals are to:

  • Uphold the breed standard set forth by national dachshund breed clubs, producing dachshunds that are true to the breed’s characteristics in appearance, structure, and temperament.
  • Selectively breed dachshunds with sound health, avoiding genetic disorders and debilitating conditions that are common in the breed.
  • Ensure the dogs in our care receive excellent nutrition, socialization, veterinary care, and enrichment to set them up for success in their future homes.
